Your choice of
Clear or Black polycarbonate Body Armor (Note: Kit comes in
Clear)
This is the
PERFECT solution for anyone needing a robot for educational
research or
hobby experimentation.
This platform is
perfect to expand by adding more sensors and modules such as a
digital compass, accelerometer, optical encoders on the wheels,
light, sound, voice recognition, speech synthesis, a vision
system utilizing a CCD or CMOS camera, an arm with gripper, GPS
tracking system, etc. The possibilities are endless!
The kit
requires partial assembly of the risers/decks and mounting
modules as well as soldering skills to assemble the
microcontroller board, backplane board, connectors and component wiring.
Material is provided you can use to make brackets and hold-down
straps for the battery, sonar, switches and charging jack. Optics and encoder
patterns are included for your experimentation, but not
connected. Common materials such as solder,
heat-shrink tubing, and the tools required for assembly are not
included.
The assembled robot
comes complete with an
Explore/DEMO program pre-loaded and is ready to go, right out
of the box. Battery Holders are provided to use C Size
batteries, but a 12VDC@5Ah battery is recommended and can be
purchased at Radio Shack. Optics and encoder
patterns are included for your experimentation, but not
connected.
| Most
of our customers purchase the Assembled CYBER1 Robot
which allows them to simply unpack the box, add
batteries, turn it on,
and run the pre-programmed demo software. |
